Overview

Sleep is one of our body’s most basic physiological needs, but it is easy to forget its importance in the rush of everyday life. Too often, sleep becomes disturbed, leading to decline in our physical, mental, social and spiritual health. Sarah Wahl, Ph.D., identifies common sleep problems and offers strategies for improved sleep quality.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will:

  1. Learn the basic science informing current sleep research and treatment;
  2. Identify common sleep problems and associated emotional, cognitive, and interpersonal difficulties resulting from sleep disturbance; and
  3. Develop strategies for improved sleep.
