Kathleen R. Toellner, Psy.D., explores ways to proactively assist individuals dealing with dementia in a community setting.
Understanding dementia is increasingly important as our population ages and diagnoses of this illness increase. Learning how to support individuals with dementia is critical for men and women in ministry – both in pastoral and religious community settings. Education and planning for the future can reduce the stress of dealing with dementia and result in better outcomes for religious and diocesan communities seeking to create a supportive environment for the elderly.
Participants will:
Priests, deacons, men and women religious, lay ministers, and those involved in vocations, formation, or clergy and ministry personnel needs.
