Rev. Paul Scaglione, M.Div., offers ways to cultivate the listening and self-reflection skills needed to accompany others on their spiritual journey.
Listening is one of the most important elements of spiritual care for others. It is tempting to offer quick, ready-made solutions when we encounter someone who is struggling spiritually. However, the story a person shares is critical to their own communication with and understanding of God, as well as to your own spiritual growth.
Rev. Paul Scaglione, M.Div., offers insight from over 40 years’ experience as a pastor and trained spiritual director into how to cultivate the listening and self-reflection skills needed to accompany others on their spiritual journey.
Participants will:
Priests, deacons, men and women religious, lay ministers, and those involved in vocations, formation, or clergy and ministry personnel needs.
Questions for reflection and discussion prior to the learning session are provided below.
